The NPC^®-16 recording chips, used on the Patchliner^®, have an open structure allowing unlimited additions of buffer and compound solutions to the internal and the external side of the cellular membrane.

The Continuous Waste Removal for the Patchliner^®, removes solution constantly from the external waste chamber, thus minimizing the time required for recording chamber maintenance by the pipette.
