The GRC on Organellar Channels and Transporters is dedicated to ion channels and primary or secondary transporters from intracellular organelles in animals, plants, and yeasts. Organelles covered include, but are not limited to, endosomes, lysosomes, vacuoles, mitochondria, chloroplasts, the nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi, secretory vesicles and the primary cilium.
The program will include junior as well as senior investigators. Several abstracts will be selected for oral presentation, including abstracts from students and postdocs participating in the associated Gordon Research Seminar (GRS).
In addition, the programmed discussion time, afternoon free time and poster sessions as well as meals will provide abundant time for interaction among the diverse groups.
Financial assistance is available for qualified applicants through the GRC Carl Storm Underrepresented Minority Fellowship Program.
This program provides a grant to underrepresented minority graduate students, postdocs, faculty and scientists to help fund their attendance at their first GRC meeting.
