Technical Service Engineer (m/w/d),
Munich, Germany

Nanion Technologies is a rapidly growing instrumentation company offering automated ion channel screening workstations for industry and academic research institutions. To meet the increasing demand for Nanion’s products and provide premium customer service, we are expanding our team at our headquarters in Munich, Germany. We are currently seeking a Technical Service Engineer for a full-time position.

This role involves working closely with the Service Manager, the Service Team, and specific Product Managers to provide customer and internal support across Nanion’s products and global branches.

Job
Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on technical components and products, with a primary focus on the Nanion SP384 high-throughput system.
  • Provide remote technical customer support for Nanion products via email, phone, and remote desktop sharing.
  • Coordinate and follow up on service support requests from our collaborators.
  • Initiate and execute internal service parts orders.
  • Maintain service stock and inventory.
  • Create, track, and monitor records for incoming support requests, keeping the asset system updated with case activities and resolutions.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and other company-wide meetings across the Nanion organization.
  • Collaborate with various teams while maintaining the ability to independently execute work assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. Equivalent experience in electronics or technical roles will also be considered.
  • Experience with some prior exposure to providing technical support in a business environment is benficial.
  • Proficiency with Windows OS, MS Office; experience with CRM or ERP systems (Salesforce, Jira, Lexware) are considered a plus.
  • Hands-on, practical knowledge of networks and computer systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with a tactful and effective approach to customer interactions.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and apply them effectively.
  • Previous customer service experience and availability for occasional customer visits are considered a plus.
