Nanion will be present with a talk
Title: “Accelerating cellular analysis with Nanion´s high-throughput electrical impedance spectroscopy-based AtlaZ system”
When: 05.09.2023 at 14:15 h at Session 6
Abstract:
Nanion Technologies is a leading provider of advanced research instrumentation and trusted scientific support since over 20 years. Renowned for our automated patch clamp systems that cater both academic and drug discovery needs, we have expanded our product range to include in vitro recordings of membrane pump-transporters, bilayer recordings, contractility, and cell analytics measurements.
AtlaZ, our newest quantitative live-cell analytics system based on electrical impedance spectroscopy, enables investigation of various cellular aspects, including cell adhesion and proliferation, cytotoxicity including of chemotherapy agents and efficacy of cell therapies, GPCR (G-protein coupled receptor) signaling, morphology, and barrier function in real-time. Importantly, these measurements are label-free and non-invasive, eliminating the need for external dyes or markers. Here we will highlight the capabilities and applications of our new technology, designed to meet the needs of both advanced research in academia and high-throughput screening in commercial environments.
Synopsis of the event
The 5th Conference on Impedance-Based Cellular Assays will be hosted by RWTH Aachen University. It will take place in the city of Aachen at the Super C. The building got its name from its appearance, a large C. The SuperC is RWTH Aachen University’s service center, which stands right next to the main building and combines a number of services for students under one roof, such as the Student Secretariat, the International and Examinations Office and the so-called Career Center, which were widely distributed before the building came into existence. In addition, the building houses exhibition areas, conference and seminar rooms, which are intended to become a meeting point in the core area of the university. The building was named after its appearance, a large C. Aachen is spa town located near the borders with Belgium and the Netherlands. Germany’s westernmost city offers some significant cultural and historical sights such as the Cathedral (Aachener Dom) with its Treasury, the Gothic Townhall and the Ludwig Forum for International Art. With the Rhenish-Westphalian Technical University (RWTH), funded since 2007 as part of the Excellence Initiative, Aachen has one of the largest and most traditional technical universities in Europe, along with other universities.
