About the meeting
Since 2016, this conference has brought together investigators focused on basic mechanisms of cancer development, translational research, and early-phase clinical research. This year’s program will focus on genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying tumorigenesis that can be exploited for the development of novel forms of therapy. The sessions will disseminate the most up-to-date knowledge and newest technologies surrounding mechanisms and therapeutic targeting of cancer cell signaling pathways.
Goals and Takeaways
- The current advances in translating discoveries from the bench to the clinic.
- The intersection of nutrient metabolism and cancer signaling pathways.
- Cutting-edge methodologies including chemical, structural, and systems biology as well as monitoring cancer cell signaling dynamics.
- The latest findings in signaling microdomains that influence therapeutic targeting.
- Successes and controversies associated with targeting tumor microenvironmental signaling.
- Why it is essential for early-career researchers to focus on the field of signal transduction as it specifically relates to cancer in order to exert a sustained and powerful impact on the field.
