Our representative Fitzwilliam Seibertz, Scientific Sales, will deliver a talk entitled “Novel High Throughput Technologies in Drug Development,” focusing on the pioneering methods that help address traditional challenges in preclinical drug discovery.
This is an invaluable opportunity to connect directly with Nanion and learn about cutting-edge tools that could redefine your approach to high throughput cellular assays. Discover how Nanion’s latest technologies can advance your research with greater predictive accuracy and efficiency. Whether you’re focused on enhancing cardiac or neural safety in drug screening, the insights from this talk will offer practical and impactful solutions.
About the talk
Title: “Novel High Throughput Technologies in Drug Development”
Time: 15:10 – 15:20 h CET
In this session, Fitzwilliam Seibertz will dive into how modern high throughput technologies, such as the SyncroPatch 384 and FLEXcyte 96, are transforming drug discovery. Fitzwilliam will discuss how iPSC-derived neuron and cardiomyocyte models, when combined with automated patch clamp systems, provide a reliable and scalable method for capturing ion channel dynamics, making it possible to screen drug libraries with high precision and speed. The talk will also highlight how cardiomyocyte contractility assays on FLEXcyte 96 offer insights into cardiac safety and toxicity, critical for the validation of new drug compounds.
These technologies are not only enhancing the efficiency of drug screening but are also helping to reduce reliance on animal testing, supporting safer, faster therapeutic discovery across the drug development pipeline. Fitzwilliam will provide real-world applications of these systems, explaining how automated patch clamp and contractility assays can be utilized from early target validation to lead optimization stages.
