Nanion Technologies Japan relocates to the University of Tokyo

Nanion Technologies Japan is excited to announce the relocation of its office and laboratory to the University of Tokyo, marking an important step in strengthening scientific collaboration and expanding our presence in Japan.

Accelerating research

At Nanion, we are committed to supporting the scientific community with state‑of‑the‑art instrumentation and expertise. By moving to the University of Tokyo, we are placing ourselves at the center of a vibrant research environment, where we can work alongside leading scientists and emerging researchers. As your trusted partner in life science research, our goal is to enable groundbreaking discoveries in drug development, ion channel research, and membrane protein studies.

Our new laboratory is fully equipped for live demonstrations, allowing scientists to explore our technology in action. We welcome researchers and industry professionals to visit and experience firsthand how our platforms integrate into their workflows, ensuring informed decision-making when adopting new technologies.

Fostering scientific collaboration

This move allows us to deepen our collaboration with Prof. Hideaki Kato´s laboratory, a leading research group focusing on membrane receptors, ion channels, and transporters. By combining our expertise in electrophysiology with the Kato lab’s advancements in optogenetics and G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) research, we aim to accelerate innovation in membrane protein studies and drug discovery.
