10.01.2018: New SyncroPatch 768PE paper published in PNAS

Title: "Mechanism-specific assay design facilitates the discovery of Nav1.7-selective inhibitors"

Scientists at Genentech and Xenon have worked together to propose a new mechanistic approach using patch clamp electrophysiology to identify NaV1.7 selective compounds. By using a pore mutant of NaV1.7 and using the SyncroPatch 768PE, the scientists were able to identify NaV1.7 selective compounds acting via other mechanisms than pore blocking.
